A Bisbee Family History
Being An Account of the Descendants of
Reuben Bisbee and Lydia Cushman
of Kingston, Massachusetts
In the spring of 1635, land-owner and yeoman Thomas Besbeech, along with some of his children and several servants embarked from Sandwich, England, aboard the good ship Hercules under master John Witherley. It was an adventure of a lifetime, for they intended to permanently settle in the fledgling colony of Plymouth in "New England." It is said that virtually all Bisbees in America today descend from Thomas' only son, Elisha Besbeech.
PURPOSE
Our purpose is to publish genealogical data collected by ourselves and others over more than thirty years. Although we focus on one line of the Bisbee family, information on allied families may also be found here.
Our secondary purpose is to teach ourselves how to design, code and manage a website. You can expect to see improvement in design and frequent addition to content.
